Terms of Use & License Terms
Rules for using the Skaym Mold Studio website, apps and software licenses.
Last updated: October 7, 2026
1. Agreement
By purchasing, installing or using Skaym Mold Studio software, or by using this website, you agree to the terms that apply to that use. Additional purchase, payment, licensing or checkout terms may be presented by Freemius at purchase. Mandatory rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
2. Products covered
These terms cover the Skaym Mold Studio website and the Skaym apps currently made available for purchase or download, including Freshie Mold Maker, Straw Topper Maker, Hair Slide Maker, Sign & Keychain Maker and Wax Melt Mold Maker. Any price shown on a product page applies only as stated there.
3. Software license
A valid purchase gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the purchased proprietary Skaym software subject to the plan and licensing limits shown at purchase. Current released Skaym desktop apps are licensed for use on up to 2 personal PCs under one valid product license unless different terms are expressly shown at purchase.
4. Activation, Monthly and Lifetime (Buy Once)
Skaym paid desktop apps use Freemius license activation. Initial activation requires an internet connection and the valid license key delivered with the purchase. Product-specific subscription, validation and Lifetime terms are presented on the relevant product page and/or at checkout.
For Freshie Mold Maker, Monthly requires an online license check when starting a new app session, while Lifetime is a one-time purchase intended for ongoing use of the purchased version without a fixed periodic online-validation schedule. Cancelling Monthly stops future renewals and does not extend access beyond the paid entitlement period.
When an app is online, license status may be refreshed. Refund, cancellation, revocation or another invalid license state may affect continued access.
5. What you may do with your outputs
For Skaym apps made available for purchase, you may use and sell the output files you create with the software, including generated STL and 3MF files where the app exports them, and you may sell physical products you make from those outputs. Commercial use does not transfer or grant rights to third-party artwork, logos, characters, trademarks or other source material; you remain responsible for having the rights or permission required for anything you import, reproduce or sell.
6. Your artwork and IP responsibility
You are responsible for the artwork, logos, characters, trademarks and other material you import or use. You must have the necessary rights, licenses or permission to use and sell that material and the resulting products. Skaym Mold Studio does not grant rights to third-party artwork and is not responsible for determining whether your source material is authorized for commercial use.
7. Restrictions on proprietary Skaym components
- Except where applicable law or a third-party/open-source license expressly grants otherwise, do not share, sell, publish or redistribute Skaym proprietary software, your license key, activation credentials or protected proprietary application files.
- Do not bypass, disable or defeat licensing, activation, integrity or security controls except where applicable law or applicable third-party license rights expressly allow otherwise.
- Do not use a license beyond the permitted device or account limits.
- Do not misrepresent yourself as Skaym Mold Studio.
8. Third-party and open-source components
Skaym software may include third-party or open-source components that are governed by their own license terms. Those license terms control to the extent they grant rights that differ from these Terms. Applicable notices, license texts, source-offer information and library replacement/debugging information are included with the software where required. Restrictions in these Terms do not remove rights granted for those third-party components.
9. Local processing
Current Skaym maker apps perform their creative generation, preview and manufacturing/export workflows locally on Windows. Creative content such as imported SVG artwork, text/design content, generated STL/3MF files, previews, colors and design geometry is not uploaded to Skaym Mold Studio or Freemius for creative generation or export. Apps may store local workflow preferences such as dimensions, units, color choices and last-used folders on the PC. Licensing, account, payment, device and security information may still be processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Purchases
Purchases made through Freemius checkout are processed by Freemius, which acts as Merchant of Record for those transactions. Product-specific pricing, billing terms, refund terms, taxes and any required regional notices may also be presented at checkout.
11. Cancellations and refunds
Cancelling a Monthly subscription stops future renewals according to the applicable billing terms; it does not automatically reverse a processed payment. Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund Policy, the Freemius purchase terms presented at checkout and mandatory law. Where those terms or applicable law provide a refund right, that right is not removed by these Terms.
12. Updates and future features
A Lifetime (Buy Once) purchase provides ongoing use of the purchased version, subject to a valid license and these terms. It does not promise every future major version, separate product or paid upgrade. Skaym Mold Studio may improve, modify, add or remove features over time, and screenshots, development previews, roadmaps and “coming soon” statements are not guarantees of future release. Product-specific system requirements may be published separately when available.
13. User responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing generated geometry and print settings before manufacturing, slicing or selling a physical product.
14. Availability and warranty limits
To the extent permitted by law, the website and software are provided without a promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every workflow, printer, slicer, operating environment or third-party file.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Skaym Mold Studio is not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the software. This does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.
16. Suspension or termination
Access to proprietary Skaym software licensing may be suspended or terminated where a license is invalid, refunded, fraudulently obtained, materially misused or used in violation of these terms, subject to applicable law, purchase terms and any independent rights granted by applicable third-party licenses.
17. Changes
These terms may be updated when products, licensing, providers or legal requirements change.
